This year marks the 4th annual Spring Loaded Telemark Festival on March 27-29th, 2015. Not only is it a weekend packed with great snow and skiing, it's also filled with spirited camaraderie, recreational races, awesome prizes, gear demos and a variety of Telemark clinics.

This weekend provides an excellent opportunity to stick around after the National Seminar, enjoy some free skiing and show off your skills on the race course! Races are open to all ability levels, from beginner to advanced; race skis, skin suits, and gate experience is not required, but helmets certainly are!

Returning this year by popular demand is the Team Parallel RaceSki head to head in groups of three with or against your friends in this exciting and fun event! 1 Alpine skier is allowed on each team, so recruit some friends from the CSIA to compete with you! The Sprint Classic race has all components of a traditional Telemark race including a Giant Slalom section, wedge jump, 360 berm, and a skate skiing section! Practice your jumps, touch some gates, and gain your confidence with an open training session before the races.

The Spring Loaded Telemark Festival has been attended by skiers from across Canada and the US, and is always a great weekend for everyone. Come on out, join the spirit of Telemark, and have a great weekend skiing while meeting new Telemark skiers!

Accommodation and lift ticket discounts are available to all registered racers. Preregistration is required. Visit www.bctelemark.com for more information or email info@bctelemark.com
