Bonnie, please send your new contact information to the CANSI National office membership staff (membership@cansi.ca). I suggest you also tell them on which 2001 course you were re-certified and by which course conductor.

Francoise Chatenoud December 8th, 2009

Is there a Prep course that goes with the Jan.16th XC Level I instructor course in Ottawa (Mooney's Bay)?
Thank you,
Francoise

Jan Vopalensky December 8th, 2009

Francoise, unfortunately we could not find any XC course conductor who could run a Level I prep course in Ottawa area this winter. Mike Lalonde and Paul Graner have injuries they need to take care of.

I suggest, people attend the prep course in Arrowhead Prov. Park, in Hunstville (on Jan 3) or in Highlands Nordic, near Collingwood (on Dec. 19-20).

I've seen several people from Ottawa area doing this already over that past few years - just to get a different perspective on their skiing and teaching skills.

Due to popular demand of the mid-week courses at Hardwood resort in early January, we added 2 more mid-week certification courses. They are being offered at Highlands Nordic on Feb. 1-2 (Monday & Tuesday). Moreover, this time we also managed to secure the main farmhouse at this resort and hence can offer you lodging for very reasonably price for this course. To register, please click on one of the following links:
1) Full Level I course
2) Classic-only Level I course

What time does the refresher course begin this Sunday at Arrowhead?

Jan Vopalensky December 29th, 2009

Cathy, all our courses start at 9 am. But I suggest you arrive at 8:30 a.m. so that you are ready to ski by 9. For more details, contact the course leader(s) - in this case Paul Jorgensen and Ted Williams. Their contact information is at http://www.cansi.ca/en/about/contact/ontario.php.

To register for this course, just go to this page and follow the instructions. The course costs only $350 until Feb. 20, 2010 and $400 after that.
