Youngest CANSI Ontario instructor

CANSI Ontario is again happy to offer financial support to young instructors or those who target young people from 16 to 21 years of age residing in Ontario.

Three types of scholarships are available:

1. Young Instructors Scholarship

100% course fee refund to all youths who successfully complete a CANSI Ontario certification or preparation course. For all other courses and successes we refund 25% of the course fees.

2. Youth Leader Development Scholarship

100% course fee refund (spread over 3 years) to any CANSI instructor who attains level II+ certification and is actively running CANSI courses targeting young skiers - especially those who are interested becoming Nordic ski instructors or coaches.

3. Youth Educational Scholarship

100% course fee refund (spread over 3 years) to any CANSI Level II+ instructor who is helping Nordic Ski Schools or clubs to develop and promote Nordic skiing educational programs that appeal better to youths.

Note:

  • For these scholarships, the definition of youth is people from 16 to 21 years of age, residing in the province of Ontario.
  • To apply for these scholarships, submit a letter outlining the type of scholarship you are applying for, and explain why you should be awarded these funds. Send your application by email to CANSI Ontario at info@ontario.cansi.ca
  • You must apply prior to the start of the CANSI course for which you are seeking funds.
  • Applications will be reviewed at most once a month by the CANSI Ontario board. Therefore, please do not expect a shorter response as to whether your application was accepted or not.
  • If your application is approved, the funds will be sent to you within two weeks of CANSI Ontario's fiscal year end (April 30) to the mailing address specified in your application letter.
