Our Annual General Meeting (AGM), the final wrap up event for the 2006-2007, season is on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the home of Jan Vopalensky . For more information and to confirm your attendance please register at this web page. Once you register, you will be able to see the director's reports and a map of the location.

The meeting will commence at 3 p.m. and be followed by a BBQ. This is a chance to hear about the successful train of CANSI Instructors and provide input into plans for 2007-2008 season.

CANSI values and celebrates the contributions of its Members. Awards will be presented for best instructor, course conductor, volunteer, and life achievement. You as Members know who has made a significant contribution to XC and Telemark instruction in your community. Please let us know who you think deserves this award. Send your recommendations to communications@ontario.cansi.ca.

A proposal has been put forward for an award to honour Mike Moran as significant award. This award will not necessarily be awarded every year. Please provide your thoughts on what you think the criteria for this award should be.

Please note all that to find the exact location of the AGM you need to register and open in your "My Training" area the Ontario AGM "event" page - or go directly to: https://lms.firmwater.com/lms/training/item.aspx?iid=705 .

There you can find also minutes of last year's AGM and all the director's reports.

Note also that we re-elected all of the 2006-2007 directors for another year, and presented following awards:
1) Garry Almond (Volunteer of the Year)
2) Paul Jorgensen (Course Conductor of the Year)

Congratulations all.

Please note that after our last board meeting (September 17, 2007) we had the following 2 directors resign for personal reasons:
1) XC Technical Director - Steve Gentles
2) XC Programs Director - Nancy Crump

Paul Jorgensen (our newest level IV instructor) generously volunteered to take over from Steve. However, we are still looking for anyone to be the XC Programs Director. If you are interested or know of any CANSI member interested in this role, please contact me directly by phone or email.

Note also that as a result of these changes, some of our emails and phone extensions changed. For these latest contact changes, please see the Ontario contacts page: http://www.cansi.ca/en/about/contact/ontario.php.
