RFP Completed
- Web project RFP issued, 7 (excellent) responses were received and Firmwater’s proposal was chosen by a team of members from across the Canada.
- Firmwater’s proposal was based on enhancing their commercial Learning Management System to meet our needs. We had originally anticipated a 2 year development cycle, but Firmwater committed to a project plan covering one year.
CANSI.ca was successfully launched
- Membership renewal e-mail’s have been sent to all members from the last 10 years
- Membership renewal letters will be sent to all members from the last 10 years on the 29th.
- 220 members have renewed their membership. The majority renewed and paid online, and a few paid by cheque or credit card with the National Office.
- an average of 264 members have logged in each day over the last week.
- 65 courses from Pacific, Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba and the Yukon are posted.
- 2553 members are in the database, including those who registered in the last 10 years (thanks to a huge amount of data editing by Jan and Firmwater)
- ACMSN.ca and cansi.ca/fr have been completed and most of the content has been translated by volunteers.
- Numerous enhancements have been completed – Firmwater have been responsive to our requests
Upcoming
- There is a list of enhancements that Firmwater will work on, but..
- the current priority is to complete developing the functionality to record the results of courses and to allow regions and national to create and edit courses.
- Mail membership cards
Issues
- PayPal – some members are experiencing problems as PayPal attempts to push people to use a PayPal account rather than pay directly by Credit Card
- Members are encountering numerous problems with missing data due to course reports that weren’t filed in previous years.
- Quebec has decided to use their previous systems for courses this year.
Process, Fees and Revenue
- Proposal was presented at the November National Board meeting and the proposed changes were accepted.
