The registration process and policies

This season's course registration process and policies are similar to those used over the past three seasons. However there are some differences you should be aware of:

  • Your membership and certification status is now automatically verified. That is, you must have 2006-2007 membership and the appropriate certification level before you can register for any Refresher or Level II+ courses. (For Level I pre-/certification courses you do not have to be a member to register!)
  • On-line payment processing is now handled by PayPal instead EventsOnline. This payment service provider is more security conscious: it requires each submitted credit card to match exactly the name, phone number and address associated with the credit card before being considered valid. Also, if you credit card was already associated with some PayPal account, you will be required to use that PayPal account. (For more information see this PayPal article.)
  • If none of these listed courses fit your schedule, or you do not wish to register and pay online for these courses, please contact Glenn Lee (telemark@ontario.cansi.ca) our Telemark Programs director .

The cancellation process and policies

This season's course cancellation process and policies are similar to those used over the past three seasons. Namely:

  • To request a cancellation of your registration, you need to send an email to course-cancellation@ontario.cansi.ca and include your registration information along with the reasons for your request.
  • Refunds will be given less a handling fee (around 15% of the course cost) only if cancellation requests are received at least 7 days before the course starts.
  • No refunds will be given if cancellations are received less than 7 days before start of the course.
  • If a course has to be cancelled by CANSI Ontario (such as due to insufficient number of registrants or due to poor snow conditions) every effort will be made to move the course and its registrants to another date during the same winter. If that is not possible, full refund will be given to each registered course participant.
  • All refunds will be given only at the end of the season (but no later than April) and generally using the same payment method as the one you used to register for the course.
